ClassACT was founded in 2008 by Michelle Steadman and Amanda Sim. In recent years it has been run by Amanda and her husband Simon, both of whom are professional actors with nearly forty years of experience between them. We currently run after school clubs at Farnborough, Tubbenden and Warren Road Primary schools and ClassACT Seniors, a group for secondary aged children at St Giles Hall in Farnborough Village. All our teachers and associates are DBS cleared. For more information on each of our clubs please select from the drop down menu above.
What We're About
We are passionate about helping children develop confidence in themselves, whilst encouraging imagination and play. We believe that the ability to stand and speak confidently and express oneself to a group of peers is so important in the context of a child's educational development and we provide an environment in which each child feels safe to be themselves, whatever their background.
We are acutely aware that each child is different and requires nurturing in their own unique way. Some children take longer to find their own assertiveness and we make sure that they never feel pressured in to doing something they are not ready to do. We have seen students join us at reception age as quiet and introverted young children and watched them develop into confident and articulate children with all the necessary social and oratory skills to transition to secondary school.
